Find Your Meaning

In the Find Your Meaning class, participants have the opportunity to think through the legacy they are choosing to give to those coming behind them.  Legacy includes the attitudes and values we choose to live daily regardless of the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Legacy is explored through readings, discussions, writings and art.  Find Your Meaning puts into action all skill sets discussed in previous classes and challenges participants to choose for themselves the legacy they leave for others.

Find Your Meaning

Find Your Meaning (class four) diminishes difficult feelings and/or suffering by focusing on creating, reconnecting, experiencing and sustaining meaning. Find Your Meaning uses education, exercises, homework and open-ended group discussions to promote emotional expression and facilitate the adoption of a meaning-focused perspective in the face of difficulty. Find Your Meaning (FYM) is a 2-hour class lasting 8-weeks and developed at Memorial Sloan Kettering. All FYM participants MUST have completed Power of Presence, Mindfulness-Based Resiliency, and Mindful Self-Compassion.
